Educated at Christ College, Brecon between 1969-75 I originally intended to qualify as a solicitor. I obtained a Law degree from Aberystwyth University in 1979 then went to the College of Law. I was articled to solicitors Morgan Bruce & Nicholas (now Blake Morgan) in Cardiff.

I joined the property industry in 1982 first working for Chris John & Partners, qualifying with Cooke & Arkwright in 1986 as a Chartered Surveyor. Between 1986-1995 I worked for Lucas & Madley, Stewart Newiss and King Sturge (all based in Cardiff).

Between 1995-2003 I was a partner at Burnett Davies in Llandaff before being enticed back into the corporate property world by Chesterton in 2003. That firm became Atisreal in 2005 and in April 2007 I formed Chris Clarke Surveyors Ltd.
